"We had flush hollow core Red Oak doors in our house before and they looked okay, but when we repaced our flush wood doors with new stile and rail Knotty Alder doors with flat panels, we could not believe the difference it made and how nice they looked with our cabinets and the rest of the house. It's almost like getting a new house without having to move." With the painted trim we had many species options to select from. We also considered Maple and Cherry, but we decided we like the character of the Knotty Alder species. We liked the flat panel option, it ties nicely to our cabinets that also have flat panels. The door pictured above is a "Saratoga Series" flat panel door in design #3A. |
