CHERRY hardwoods are rich in color with a smooth texture and flowing grain patterns. Small natural spots, holes and flecks are characteristic. The sapwood of Cherry is creamy white in color while the heartwood of Cherry varies from a rich pinkish brown to brown. Cherry is photosensitive and with age and exposure to light the wood will darken into deeper richer looking color. It accepts stain readily and finishes beautifully.The engineered wood stile and rail door pictured above is a flat panel door from the "Canterbury Series" which features flat panels and profiled sticking. This is design #39 with an eyebrow arch top panel. Other door designs and panel options are available in this wood species.
